How this works

Where the numbers come from

The hiscores only change when you log out. Nothing moves while you are playing, so everything you earn turns up in one lump after you leave the game.

Every ten minutes we ask Wise Old Man for everyone's numbers, and it reads the hiscores for us. That is why a long session can appear all at once a few minutes after you stop.

Dink, if you want to

Dink is a RuneLite plugin. With it, your own game client tells us when you log in and out, so a four hour evening is credited to the evening instead of to the minute you logged off.

Install Dink from RuneLite's Plugin Hub. Then paste the link you were given into the box called Custom Metadata Handler. That one box is all it needs - leave the Discord one empty. You have to log out and back in once before anything arrives.

Optional extra: paste the same link into Primary Webhook URLs as well, and tick Collection Log, Level Up, Kill Count, Quests, Achievement Diary, Combat Achievements, Pets and Deaths. Collection slots and boss counts then land as they happen rather than waiting for the next ten minute check. Quests, diaries, combat tasks and pets have no check to wait for - the hiscores do not carry them, so this is the only way they reach Milestones at all - and deaths and pets can send a screenshot for the Gallery.

Your link is a password - it is yours alone, so do not share it. Nothing about your Discord account or your clan is kept, whatever Dink offers to send.

The Wise Old Man plugin

You do not need it. We look everybody up ourselves every ten minutes, whether or not anyone has it installed. If you already use it, keep it - it asks Wise Old Man to refresh you the moment you log out, which makes our next check a little more current. Either way the numbers are the same in the end.

The two competitions

Maxing counts experience only up to ninety-nine in each skill, and reaching a ninety-nine takes the day outright - two beat one. An account already maxed everywhere cannot place, which is the point: otherwise it would win every day just by logging in.

Grinding counts all of it. No cap, and no extra credit for a ninety-nine. Same days, same readings, different question.

Both count experience, and only experience. Boss kills, collection log slots, clues, quests and diaries all show up on the charts and on Milestones, but none of them wins a day - so an evening spent entirely at a boss you are already maxed for scores nothing on either board.

Winning the month

Each month is the average of its days rather than one big total, so a single enormous day is worth one good day and not the whole month. At least a fortnight of days has to have been watched before either leaderboard names anyone.

Days run midnight to midnight in the group's own time zone.
